\nOverview:\n

\nSweet Kiddles flexible childcare center is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Assistant Director of Administration. This candidate will aid the Center Director in all areas of center administration, and will serve as backup to the Center Director and, when necessary, other roles in the team.\n
\n

\nThe person in this role must be willing and able to work 9 am-6 pm and flex their hours to meet the needs of the center, which may include closing and/or opening on occasion.\n
\n
\n Qualifications:\n
\n
\nEducation: Two or four-year degree in Early Childhood Education (or related field) or CPL 3 in OPR.\n
\nExperience: Minimum 2-year experience working as a Lead Teacher in a classroom preferred.\n
\nPersonal: Highly energetic, personable and team-oriented. Demonstrates high degree of responsibility and reliability. Projects a professional presence at all times. Exhibits excellent customer service and works well with parents.\n
\n
\nMajor responsibilities\n
\n
\nThe following is a list of activities and job functions for which the Assistant Center Director will aid the Center Director. The AD will be required to perform other duties as requested by the Center Director to maintain the Center at an optimal level for all children, their families and all staff.\n
\n
\nStaff\n
\nAid staff in the development of supportive classroom environments.\n
\nContribute to planning and implementation of curricula and activities.\n
\nAid in scheduling process.*\n
\nProvide support to staff and maintaining employee confidentiality.\n
\nAudit classroom portfolios, classroom observations, assessments, and KiddleFeed messages.\n
\nSupport team members by pitching in, being energetic and being flexible (subbing in classrooms as needed).\n
\nAttend monthly team member meetings and weekly center Level 10 meetings.\n
\nEmbrace working in an environment where open communication with team members and the director is essential to the center’s success.\n
\n
\nChildren/Families\n
\nEnsure the center provides top-tier customer service and all customers have an excellent experience.\n
\nManage the new member enrollment process (emails, phone calls, and tours) including maintaining CRM (Customer Retention Management)*.\n
\nEnsure children’s records are current and accurate (includes all Ohio licensing required components).*\n
\nManage family check-outs and payments.*\n
\nEnsure center meets all Ohio licensing requirements.* This includes, but is not limited to:\n
\nStandards of health and safety (Sanitation)\n
\nLearning environment\n
\nNutrition and food preparation\n
\nPhysical safety and well-being of children and staff, including staff ratios\n
\nExecute policies and procedures that ensure the well-being of children.\n
\nEstablish relationships with individual children and families and respond to their needs.\n
\nReport evidence of suspected abuse/ neglect to Children’s Services.\n
\n
\nCenter Operation\n
\nMaintain the facility in accordance with Ohio licensing standards.*\n
\nEnsure classroom and center cleanliness.\n
\nEnsure effective transactions and fee collection at check-in and check-out.\n
\nProvide care in classrooms as needed to meet safety and licensing regulations.\n
\nAct as substitute, floater, cook, or classroom teacher as required by the staffing schedule.\n
\nEnsure that new parents with early arrivals have a good first experience, with correct and complete paperwork, and that classroom teachers are well informed. Completing work that fulfills licensing or SUTQ requirements (e.g. fire drills, classroom observations)\n
\nMaintain center records (includes emergency drills; building, fire and sanitation inspections)*\n
\nSupply and inventory management, ordering as needed, distributing to classrooms. *\n
\nConduct center tours & enroll families.*\n
\nManage ASQ’s, JFS 1514’s and other classroom related paperwork requirements.\n
\nManage Nutrition and food preparation.\n
\nManage health and safety protocols, policies, and procedures.\n
\nPerform duties as needed by Center Director. These may include running errands, preparing meals, cleaning and room prep, or almost anything.\n
\nContribute energy and ideas to improving our business.\n
\nAttend annual Spring-cleaning day.\n
\n
\n *Indicates these responsibilities are shared by both the Center Director and Assistant Director.\n
