Under immediate supervision, this role provides essential operational coordination, data management, and logistics support for the facility. The position acts as a central hub between customers, customer service representatives (CSRs), managers, and transport drivers to ensure efficient daily routing and administrative compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (such as DOT, EPA, and RCRA).

Primary Responsibilities Routing & Dispatch: Build, print, and balance daily routes for drivers using company routing systems. Issue necessary documentation including route sheets, shipping papers, and barcode labels. Driver Coordination: Dispatch drivers for extra or missed pick-ups, conduct daily driver debriefs, and assist team members with basic electronic logging or device troubleshooting. Regulatory & Administrative Support: Review, maintain, and file Department of Transportation (DOT) logs, Vehicle Condition Reports (VCRs), and Driver
Qualification Files (DQFs). Track and input hours via regulatory software (e.g., JJ Keller or SAP). Manifest & Data Management: Manage the life cycle of printed waste manifests, Land Disposal Restrictions (LDRs) paperwork, and compliance labels. Scan, track, and mail copies to appropriate customers and state environmental agencies.

Customer & Communication Support: Respond to customer inquiries regarding schedules, product orders, and pick-up requests. Answer and route facility telephone calls and assist walk-in visitors. Office Operations: Maintain accurate electronic and paper files, spreadsheets, and rosters. Enter operational data, update billing packets based on arriving waste documentation, and sort/distribute incoming mail.

Basic Qualifications Education:
High school diploma or GED equivalent. Experience: Previous experience working in an office administrative support, transportation, or logistics environment. Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook), including the ability to manage basic formulas in spreadsheets. Comfort learning specialized tracking software (SAP, electronic logging devices).

Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interface effectively with truck drivers, plant operations personnel, and external clients.

Preferred Qualifications
Associate or Bachelor's degree (particularly in environmental science, chemistry, biology, or business logistics). 2+ years of direct experience in waste management routing, dispatching, or industrial logistics. Familiarity with hazardous materials transportation regulations, EPA manifests, and DOT compliance rules.
