Quick Facts Location: Auburn & Opelika, AL Start Date: Pending candidate availability End Date/Duration: Permanent placement Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Hours/Week: 40 hours Employment Type: Full-Time Licenses/Certs: Doctor of Optometry (OD), AL State Optometry License Experience: Open to all levels, including newly graduated optometrists Pay & Benefits Pay package discussed upon application Comprehensive benefits including: Matching 401(k) plan Dental health insurance Paid time off (PTO) and holidays Malpractice insurance coverage Continuing education (CE) opportunities What You’ll Do Conduct comprehensive eye exams to diagnose refractive errors and ocular health issues Provide prescriptions for glasses, contact lenses, and medications as needed Manage ocular conditions such as glaucoma, dry eye, and cataracts Counsel patients on eye health, vision options, and preventative care Collaborate with staff to ensure a seamless patient experience Stay updated on industry advancements and best practices Support pre/post operative care and assist in contact lens fittings What You Need Required: Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree Active Alabama State Optometry License Preferred: Prior clinical experience is a plus but not mandatory Strong communication and patient-care skills About the Assignment This position is based at a highly regarded private practice in Auburn, renowned for delivering exceptional patient care in a stress-free environment.
