Planning Policy Manager (Local Plans Manager)

Planning Strategy Manager (Local Plans Manager) Greater Manchester Area £65-80 p/h dependant on experience Initial 6-month contract with potential to extend. Job Ref - 67461 We are looking for an experienced Planning Policy specialist to provide additional management support to a busy Local Authority Planning Policy Team during a particularly intensive period of work. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting a high-performing and well-established team, helping to maintain delivery standards during a period of significant demand. You will need to be a supportive and hands-on manager who is comfortable rolling up your sleeves and providing practical support to the team. A strong background in Local Plan Examination is essential. You will need previous experience of either leading or coordinating a Local Plan Examination, including appearing at examination hearings and providing evidence to an Inspector. You will also need previous management experience, ideally with 2+ years of managing and supporting planning professionals.
