Job Description
Cedar is supporting a Public Sector organisation, based in Manchester, who are looking to hire a Procurement Manager. This role is on an initial 12-Month Fixed Term Contract (FTC) basis but with a high potential of becoming a permanent position once completed. The role is offering a salary ranged from £40,000 up to £50,000 per annum plus a range of benefits which include a Civil Service Pension and 30 Days Annual Leave (plus Bank Holidays). This role will operate on a hybrid working basis with the expectation to be on-site in the office set to 2 days per week. Please Note: this role is open to candidates who would want to work on either a Full Time or Part Time basis.
\n\nReporting into the Head of Finance, the Procurement Manager will be solely responsible for helping the organisation buy goods and services in a way that is compliant, transparent and delivers value for money. The successful candidate will support finance, governance, operational teams and external suppliers and will manage end-to-end procurement activity from planning and market engagement through to sourcing, contract award, mobilisation, and supplier management for requirements mainly in areas such as ICT & Digital, Corporate Services, FM and Professional Services.

- Experience working in a similar role in the UK Public Sector marketplace i.e. a role in Procurement, Commercial, Sourcing or Category Management - candidates without hands on and recent experience working in the UK Public Sector marketplace will not be considered \n
- Understanding of PA23 with experience of working and understanding PCR2015 - ideally you will have completed PA23 training \n
- Experience using Frameworks with the likes of CCS and other Framework solutions in the wider marketplace \n
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills - the successful candidate must be confident in guiding and advising non-procurement colleagues. \n
- CIPS Level 4 qualified, working towards CIPS, or able to demonstrate equivalent procurement or commercial experience \n
