Location: Fareham

Role: 6-8 month FTC

Salary: 30k

The Opportunity

\n

\n

Our client is looking for an experienced French SpeakingAccounts Receivable Administrator to join their Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional with experience in accounts receivable, sales ledger, or credit control to join a fast-paced and growing international business.

\n

\n

Please note: Fluent French language skills are a non-negotiable requirement for this position. Candidates must be able to communicate confidently in both written and spoken French on a daily basis. Native or near-native French speakers are highly preferred.

\n

\n

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing customer accounts, chasing outstanding debt, allocating cash, resolving customer queries, and building strong relationships with French-speaking customers and internal stakeholders.

\n

\n

Key Responsibilities

\n

\n

· Manage a portfolio of customer accounts, ensuring prompt collection of outstanding balances.

\n

· Communicate regularly with French-speaking customers by telephone and email regarding payments, account queries, and overdue invoices.

\n

· Post and allocate incoming customer payments accurately within the ERP system.

\n

· Investigate and resolve account discrepancies and payment issues.

\n

· Generate customer statements and debt collection correspondence.

\n

· Review held orders and support credit and release decisions.

\n

· Perform customer credit assessments and monitor payment behaviour.

\n

· Process credit notes, debit notes, and customer account amendments.

\n

· Support month-end close activities, reconciliations, and reporting requirements.

\n

· Assist with audit requests and ensure compliance with internal controls and finance policies.

\n

· Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the Accounts Receivable function.

About You

\n

\n

We're keen to speak with candidates who have:

\n

· Fluent French language skills (written and spoken) - essential.

\n

  • Previous experience in an Accounts Receivable, Credit Control, Sales Ledger, or Finance Administration role.
  • \n
  • Experience working within a high-volume transactional environment.
  • \n
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
  • \n
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • \n
  • High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • \n
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
  • \n
  • A proactive mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • \n

Desirable Experience

  • Experience using Oracle or a similar ERP system.
  • \n
  • Knowledge of SOX controls and financial compliance processes.
  • \n
  • AAT qualification or study towards a professional accounting qualification.
  • \n
  • Additional European language skills.
  • \n
\n
