The Opportunity

As an Audit Junior, you'll be joining the first steps of a rewarding career in accountancy and audit. Working alongside experienced colleagues, you'll gain valuable hands-on experience supporting a wide range of clients, learning how businesses operate and helping to ensure their financial information is accurate and reliable. This is an entry-level role with full training and support provided, making it a fantastic opportunity for anyone looking to start a professional career in accountancy. What You'll Be Doing

\n

As our Audit Junior, you'll be responsible for:

\n
    \n
  • Checking a client's financial information, purchase and sales invoices
  • \n
  • Controls review and walkthrough testing
  • \n
  • Calculating sample sizes, and choosing samples for audit testing
  • \n
  • Checking bank balances and bank statements
  • \n
  • Reviewing client payroll records for accuracy
  • \n
  • Ensure sound knowledge of a client and its industry by researching background of clients and other useful information
  • \n
  • Attend stock takes at client sites
  • \n
  • Develop and apply technical knowledge gained from studies and on the job experience and suggest improvements to existing systems and processes
  • \n
  • Respond to client enquiries in line with company policy
  • \n
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • \n
  • Dealing with general office admin and emails when required
  • \n

  • An interest in accounting and studying for an accountancy qualification (ACA)

  • An eye for detail to be able to perform several tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism

  • Good computer skills, outlook, excel and word

  • An ability to communicate clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing
