Monday to Thursday 6am - 6pm

£35,000

My client who is a leading manufacturer within their field is seeking an experienced Chemical Process Support Operator to join their team.

\n

The Role:

\n

To support the safe and efficient operation of the Production Department by ensuring raw materials, intermediates and finished products are available where required, maintaining excellent housekeeping standards, operating the filtration press process, and assisting production teams to maximise plant efficiency.

\n

The Production Support Operator will play a key role in reducing downtime by coordinating material movements, managing the heating plan, operating the filtration press, and ensuring production areas remain organised, compliant and ready for manufacture.

\n

Responsibilities:

\n

Production Support

\n

- Operate the filtration press in accordance with approved manufacturing instructions and safe systems of work.

\n

- Transfer product from holding tank to the filtration press and monitor the filtration process.

\n

- Complete filtration records and report any deviations immediately.

\n

- Assist Production Operators during busy periods to maintain production schedules.

\n

- Ensure production vessels receive the correct raw materials and packaging in a timely manner.

\n

- Prepare work areas to minimise delays between batches.

\n

Material Handling

\n

- Safely operate a Counterbalance Forklift Truck.

\n

- Transport raw materials, intermediates and finished goods between storage locations and production.

\n

- Supply production with materials in accordance with the manufacturing schedule.

\n

- Return unused materials to designated storage locations.

\n

- Assist with loading outgoing products where required.

\n

Production Planning Support

\n

- Maintain the site heating plan to ensure temperature-sensitive materials are conditioned and available for manufacture.

\n

- Monitor stock levels of production consumables including filter media, gaff bags and packaging materials.

\n

- Assist Production Supervisors with stock checks and inventory accuracy.

\n

- Ensure production areas are prepared for upcoming manufacturing campaigns

\n

Housekeeping & Site Standards

\n

- Maintain high housekeeping standards across production, press and yard areas.

\n

- Keep all walkways, storage areas and production support areas organised and free from obstruction.

\n

- Inspect spill kits, absorbents and emergency equipment, reporting deficiencies.

\n

- Support waste segregation and solvent recovery activities.

\n

Safety, Quality & Compliance

\n

- Work in accordance with COMAH requirements, site procedures and Permit to Work systems.

\n

- Comply with all Quality, Environmental and Health & Safety procedures.

\n

- Wear and maintain the correct PPE at all times.

\n

- Report hazards, near misses and unsafe conditions immediately.

\n

- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

\n
