Due to continued growth, they are seeking a talented Senior Accountant to join their Leicester team.

The Role

As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in managing a varied portfolio of clients while supporting junior team members and maintaining high standards of service delivery.

Responsibilities will include:

\n
• Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts for a range of SME and owner-managed business clients
\n
• Producing management accounts and financial reports
\n
• Preparing and reviewing corporation tax returns
\n
• Managing client relationships and acting as a trusted point of contact
\n
• Providing proactive accounting and business advice to clients
\n
• Supporting junior team members through mentoring and technical guidance
\n
• Assisting with workflow management and ensuring deadlines are met
\n
• Liaising with HMRC and other external stakeholders where required
\n
• Supporting partners and managers on ad-hoc projects and advisory assignments
\n

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

\n
• ACA or ACCA qualification (or be Qualified by Experience with strong practice exposure)
\n
• Previous experience working within an accountancy practice environment
\n
• Strong technical knowledge of accounts preparation and taxation
\n
• Experience managing your own client portfolio
\n
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
\n
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
\n
• Experience using cloud-based accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks or Sage
\n
• A proactive and commercially minded approach
\n
