Operations Director

Location: Kingston upon Thames (3-4 days per week in the office)

The Opportunity

Our client is seeking an Operations Director to support the next phase of the company's growth and operational development. This is a newly created leadership role responsible for overseeing project delivery and service operations, ensuring effective coordination across the business and driving continuous operational improvement

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operation of the project delivery and service functions
\n
• Oversee projects from order through to commissioning and customer handover
\n
• Ensure a smooth transition from project completion into service and maintenance
\n
• Take ownership of the service division, including responsibility for its P&L
\n
• Drive improvements to operational processes and cross-functional collaboration
\n
• Support the implementation of CRM, ERP and MRP systems to improve business efficiency
\n
• Work closely with department managers to improve communication, planning and delivery
\n
• Monitor operational performance, budgets and KPIs
\n
• Build strong relationships with customers and provide operational support where required
\n

Ideal Background

The successful candidate is likely to have a background in:

• Operations Management, Project Management or Service Manageme
\n
• HVAC, refrigeration or air conditioning
\n
• Managing both project delivery and service operations
\n
• Budget and P&L responsibility
\n
• Leading operational teams and implementing business process improvements
\n
• Delivering organisational change and supporting business growth
\n

Candidates with approximately 8-10+ years' relevant experience
