Job Description
Our client is seeking experienced Caseworkers to support a high-priority government programme assisting eligible foreign nationals and their families who supported UK operations over the past 20 years. This is an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to a sensitive, high-impact initiative within the Defence sector. This role requires strong case management skills, policy adherence, and emotional resilience due to the sensitive nature of the work.
\nLocation: Hybrid – Whitehall, Inner London

\nKey Responsibilities:

- Manage individual cases efficiently and with empathy, in line with government policies and procedures. \n
- Analyse complex information from multiple sources to make well-justified decisions. \n
- Ensure decisions are clearly documented and aligned with relevant policies. \n
- Handle sensitive information with a high level of confidentiality and professionalism. \n
- Meet daily case handling targets while maintaining quality and accuracy. \n
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to support effective resolution of cases. \n
- Work within a high-paced, operationally sensitive environment. \n
- Maintain compliance with data protection regulations at all times. \n
Essential Criteria:
\n- \n
- Active SC Security Clearance (must be sole UK; dual nationals are not eligible). \n
- Demonstrable casework experience, particularly in high-pressure or policy-driven environments. \n
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. \n
- Experience applying government policy to case decisions. \n
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. \n
- Confident user of Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams). \n
- Proven ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. \n
- Comfortable working with and discussing graphic/disturbing material (resilience is essential). \n
- High level of empathy while maintaining strict adherence to policy-based decisions. \n
- Good understanding of Data Protection principles. \n
Desirable Criteria:

- Background in Home Office, policing, or immigration-related work. \n
- Experience handling complex or sensitive cases. \n
Working Arrangement:
\n- \n
- Hybrid role based in Whitehall, London. \n
- Initial 10-day induction required onsite. \n
- Office attendance 1–3 days per week (minimum), subject to business needs. \n
- Candidates must be local to London — no travel expenses provided. \n
