\nWe are seeking an exceptional Senior Principal Scientist / Team Leader to lead Process Chemists and help shape the future growth of our UK based organisation.
\nThe Opportunity
\nUse your experience and expertise to guide the development of innovative synthetic routes and scalable manufacturing processes for complex small molecule APIs, while building a high-performing, collaborative scientific culture.
\nLead multidisciplinary project teams, mentor talented scientists and work across development, manufacturing and global operations to deliver outstanding client outcomes.
\nWhat You'll Do

- Design and develop synthetic routes and manufacturing processes for small molecule API’s working with colleagues from analytical, engineering, HTE and crystallisation. \n
- Work directly with our clients to deliver projects on time and to the highest quality \n
- Provide scientific leadership from route scouting through scale-up and technology transfer. \n
- Champion scientific excellence, safety, quality, and operational efficiency. \n
- Support process transfer into pilot plant and manufacturing environments. \n
- Contribute to technology implementation, recruitment, talent development and departmental strategy. \n
What We're Looking For
\nYou will be a recognised Process Chemistry expert who combines strong technical capability with a passion for developing people.
\nYou'll bring:
\n- \n
- PhD in Chemistry with industrial experience, or BSc/MSc with substantial industry experience. \n
- Deep expertise in organic and process chemistry. \n
- Proven leadership of API or Process Chemistry programs in pharma or CDMO environments. \n
- Experience managing or mentoring scientific teams. \n
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills. \n
- A desire to build talent, inspire colleagues, and drive scientific excellence. \n
