\nThe Role & The Work
\nThis is a unique opportunity for an experienced Private Client Solicitor to move into a Professional Support Lawyer role within a highly regarded, L500 ranked Private Client team in Edinburgh.
\nYou will join a specialist Asset Protection team advising on a broad range of matters including succession planning, trusts and complex tax work. In this role, you will support the team through the development and management of knowledge resources, ensuring legal and technical excellence is maintained across the practice.
\nWorking closely with Partners and senior lawyers, you will play a central role in maintaining and developing precedents, guidance notes and internal knowledge systems. You will support fee earners on complex legal research and technical queries, while also monitoring legal and tax developments and delivering clear, practical updates to the wider team.
\nYou will also be involved in delivering and coordinating internal training, supporting the onboarding and development of junior lawyers and contributing to continuous improvement across team processes. There will also be opportunities to work alongside wider business functions on innovation initiatives, including the use of legal technology and automation, as well as supporting marketing materials and legal directory submissions.
\nThis role offers the opportunity to remain closely involved in high-quality, technical work, while stepping away from a traditional fee-earning position. \nYour Experience

- Scots Qualified Solicitor with 5+ PQE in Private Client \n
- Strong experience in tax, trusts and succession planning \n
- Excellent drafting, research and analytical skills \n
- Clear and confident communicator \n
- Interest in knowledge development, training and legal innovation \n
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively \n
