Quality Bids & Proposals Coordinator
\nAmpthill - Bedfordshire
\nPaying up to £60,000 (DOE)
\nPlease note - Due to the nature of the work, you’ll be required to hold or be eligible to obtain a high level of UK Security Clearance
\nOverview: As the Quality Bids & Proposals Coordinator, you’ll be responsible for coordinating all Quality-related activities during the bid and proposal process, ensuring customer requirements are accurately understood, costed, planned and incorporated into compliant, competitive proposals.
\nKey Responsibilities

- Review customer requirements, specifications, and drawings to determine the quality scope of work. \n
- Develop and maintain Quality Basis of Estimates (BOEs), ensuring quality activities are accurately costed and resourced. \n
- Liaise with Quality SMEs to validate labour hours, inspection requirements, and delivery approaches. \n
- Identify and document quality-related assumptions, dependencies, and exclusions within bid documentation. \n
- Assess and record quality risks and opportunities, supporting mitigation planning and bid risk reviews. \n
- Identify any additional equipment, training, certification, tooling, or specialist skills required to fulfil the contract requirements. \n
- Represent Quality during bid reviews, approval boards and sign-off activities. \n
- Maintain and continuously improve the Quality bid response library, standard templates and reusable proposal content. \n
- Support cross-functional bid teams to ensure quality requirements are aligned with operational capability and business objectives. \n
- Ensure all proposed quality activities comply with customer, regulatory and company quality requirements. \n
Required Experience
\n- \n
- Background in Quality Engineering, Quality Assurance, or Manufacturing Quality. \n
- Experience supporting bids, tenders or proposals within a defence, aerospace or highly regulated industry. \n
- Working knowledge of AS9100 and quality management systems. \n
- Ability to interpret technical specifications, drawings, and customer requirements. \n
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and organisational skills. \n
- Experience developing Basis of Estimates (BOEs) and resource plans. \n
- Knowledge of First Article Inspection (FAI) and APQP methodologies. \n
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems. \n
- Internal or Lead Auditor qualification. \n
