We’re partnering with an ambitious, early-stage energy company as they scale their international operations. With a strong vision for responsible growth and governance, they are now seeking a Head of Risk & Compliance to design, implement and lead a best-in-class framework across the organisation.

The Opportunity

\n

This is a rare greenfield role where you will have the opportunity to design and implement the frameworks and processes.

\n


\n

Reporting directly to the CEO, you’ll have the autonomy and support to:

\n
    \n
  • Build and embed a group-wide risk & compliance framework from scratch
  • \n
  • Shape policies, controls and governance across multi-jurisdictional operations
  • \n
  • Influence business strategy while ensuring the highest ethical and regulatory standards
  • \n
  • Drive a culture of integrity, accountability and continuous improvement
  • \n
\n

What You’ll Be Doing

\n
    \n
  • Designing and implementing a robust, risk-based compliance programme across corporate and operational environments
  • \n
  • Leading enterprise-wide risk assessments, including anti-bribery, sanctions and ethics risks
  • \n
  • Overseeing due diligence, monitoring and investigations across third parties and transactions
  • \n
  • Partnering with operational, legal, HSE and corporate teams to ensure end-to-end compliance integration
  • \n
  • Acting as a key point of contact for regulators, auditors and external stakeholders
  • \n
  • Delivering training, insights and reporting to senior leadership and Board level
  • \n

About You

\n

You’ll be a credible, commercially minded compliance leader who thrives in a build-phase environment:

\n
    \n
  • Significant experience in risk, compliance, legal or governance roles within the energy sector, or similarly regulated heavy industry.
  • \n
  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, ideally within energy or complex international sectors
  • \n
  • Proven ability to design policies, lead audits/investigations, and influence senior stakeholders
  • \n
  • Comfortable operating across multiple jurisdictions and cultural environments
  • \n
  • A proactive, hands-on leader with high integrity and sound judgement
  • \n
  • Experience in oil & gas and/or Arabic language capability, this would be highly desirable
  • \n
