Duration: 12 Month Contract (potential extension)

Location: Hybrid with 3 days on-site in West Cumbria

Rate: £55p/hour (Inside IR35)

CE&I Senior Design Engineer Overview

\n

I'm looking for an experienced Senior CE&I Design Engineer to support the Silos MSSS SEP1 & SEP2 Project, providing front-line site-based design support to commissioning teams while delivering and checking detailed CE&I designs and design changes.

\n


\n

The role will be primarily based in West Cumbria, with a requirement to attend Cheshire approximately one day per month. The ideal candidate will have experience working on multidisciplinary projects, strong knowledge of PES-based control systems and process instrumentation, and excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

The CE&I Senior Design Engineer role will involve

    \n
  • Providing front-line site-based design support to commissioning teams
  • \n
  • Delivering and checking detailed CE&I designs and design changes
  • \n
  • Working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams
  • \n
  • Ensuring designs meet project, functional, and business requirements
  • \n
  • Applying knowledge of PES-based control systems and process instrumentation
  • \n
  • Supporting and mentoring early career engineers
  • \n

\n

The CE&I Senior Design Engineer will need to have the following attributes:

\n
    \n
  • Minimum HND qualification in a relevant engineering discipline
  • \n
  • Minimum Incorporated Engineer (IEng) professional qualification
  • \n
  • Must already hold active SC Security Clearance
  • \n
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience delivering CE&I design solutions on multidisciplinary projects
  • \n
  • Strong working knowledge of PES-based control systems and process instrumentation
  • \n
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve technical issues
  • \n
  • Willingness to support and mentor early-career engineers
  • \n

Desirable:

\n
    \n
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience successfully delivering as a CE&I Senior Design Engineer
  • \n
  • Experience working on external and/or Sellafield Ltd multidisciplinary projects
  • \n
  • Working knowledge of Sellafield Engineering Standards relating to PES based control systems and process instruments
  • \n
