gap technical are proud to be representing this global manufacturing business in their search for a Maintenance Engineer to work at their facility based near Manchester

Performance Objectives

\n
• Deliver a comprehensive maintenance program based on Shire Pirana CMMS targeted at reducing unplanned work and maximizing machine availability.
\n
• Modify and update PPM system and hard copy information on a daily basis to ensure engineering information is up to date and accurate.
\n
• Pass relevant information daily to colleagues.
\n
• Deliver a first-class pro-active service and support for production requirements and factory services.
\n
• Train and assist production to deliver efficient machine setup and rapid startups.
\n
• Work pro-actively with contractors, agencies and other Soreen staff to ensure efficient and compliant running of the factory.
\n
• Champion specific machinery and projects.
\n
• Manage own self to meet company objectives to agreed timescales.
\n

Person Specification

\n
• Ability to analyse and solve problems methodically
\n
• Able to build relationships across all factory functions as part of a team
\n
• Drive to improve, learn and succeed
\n
• Open to change
\n
• Previous experience as a multi skilled technician
\n
• Practical experience gained within engineering function within FMCG environment
\n

Desirable Skills/Abilities

\n
• Engineering City and Guilds qualification or equivalent
\n
• Multi - Skilled / Electrical Bias
\n
