Accounts Assistant

Kenneth Brian Associates are recruiting on behalf of a well established and growing company based in Croydon, who are looking to appoint an Accounts Assistant to join their friendly finance team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a solid grounding in finance who is looking to develop their career within a supportive business. The role will initially have a strong focus on Accounts Payable, whilst also providing exposure to a variety of month-end accounting tasks and offering genuine progression opportunities.

• Processing a high volume of supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
\n
• Preparing supplier payment runs and reconciling supplier statements
\n
• Dealing with supplier queries and maintaining strong relationships
\n
• Assisting with bank reconciliations and cash allocation
\n
• Supporting the month-end process, including journals, accruals and prepayments
\n
• Assisting with balance sheet reconciliations
\n
• Supporting the preparation of management accounts
\n
• Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring data integrity
\n
• Providing general finance and administrative support as required
\n

\n
• Previous experience working within an Accounts Assistant or Accounts Payable position
\n
• Confident using accounting software and Microsoft Excel
\n
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills
\n
• A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop
\n
• Able to manage workload effectively and meet deadlines
\n
• Studying AAT or looking to continue developing within finance would be advantageous but is not essential
\n

• Salary of £30,000 - £34,000, depending on experience
\n
