We are seeking a dedicated HR Administrative Assistant to provide comprehensive administrative support within a dynamic educational environment. This role is crucial for the efficient operation of our HR department, ensuring smooth and effective management of various HR-related tasks.

Day-to-day of the role:

\n
    \n
  • Provide general administrative support to the School Business, HR & Estates Strategy Director.
  • \n
  • Serve as the first point of contact for HR and recruitment enquiries within the school.
  • \n
  • Assist in the administration for trainee teachers and interns.
  • \n
  • Support the Senior Leadership Team with administrative tasks as needed.
  • \n
  • Regularly update and maintain accurate personal data on the school's HR systems, including the School Information Management system (SIMs) and Single Central Record.
  • \n
  • Handle filing, printing, photocopying, and other clerical duties as required.
  • \n
  • Assist with information provision for staff workforce Census returns.
  • \n
  • Manage all HR administrative duties related to the recruitment process.
  • \n
  • Process DBS checks for staff, new recruits, Governors, and volunteers.
  • \n
  • Efficiently respond to telephone calls and enquiries in a professional manner.
  • \n
  • Communicate with applicants via the recruitment portal.
  • \n
  • Adhere to and enforce school policies and procedures, including safeguarding and data protection.
  • \n

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in an administrative role, preferably within an HR setting.
  • \n
  • Familiarity with HR systems, particularly SIMs, is highly advantageous.
  • \n
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • \n
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • \n
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to data protection laws.
  • \n
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • \n
