Semi-Skilled Mechanical Fitter

We have an exciting opportunity for a Semi Skilled Mechanical Fitter based in Bedford for one of our clients on a Full time permanent basis.

Summary of the Semi Skilled Mechanical Fitter role

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 Location: Bedford Type of Contract: Permanent Hours: 37.5 hours Monday – Thursday 8.15am-4.45pm Friday – 8.15am-1.45pm

Responsibilities of theSemi Skilled Mechanical Fitter

• Pressure testing of various pump components in line with production schedule
\n
• Fettling of small and large pump components and impellers using a variety of handheld power tools
\n
• Use overhead cranes and forklift trucks to move large and heavy items
\n
• Loading/unloading of vehicles
\n
• Sub-assembly of components, fettling or painting process
\n

Requirements for a successful Semi Skilled Mechanical Fitter

\n
• Experience working in a similar mechanical assembly environment
\n
• Experience in working to production deadlines
\n
• Pressure testing experience
\n
• Experience in reading engineering drawings, manufacturing and quality check lists
\n
• Experience in completion of manufacturing and check list paperwork
\n
• Qualified overhead crane user and forklift user
\n
