Management Accountant / Finance Manager

Based: South Manchester (Hybrid)

Salary: Up to £50k dependent on experience & study level + Bonus + Study Support (if desired) + Excellent Benefits

Whitaker Smith are exclusively partnering with an ambitious, fast-growing SME looking to appoint a Management Accountant in a newly created position. This is an outstanding opportunity for someone who enjoys analysing data, solving problems and turning numbers into meaningful commercial insight whilst overseeing all internal finance and leading a small team of 2-3.

Role

  • Producing monthly management accounts, forecasts and budgets for the business
  • \n
  • Working with the FD on acquisitions, ensuring smooth integration to group
  • \n
  • Leading a team of 2-3 people (Junior Accounts) ensuring their development and training
  • \n
  • Overseeing monthly analysis and reconciliation of high volume data, identifying trends, variances and opportunities for improvement.
  • \n
  • Supporting on future acquisition targets through detailed commercial and financial analysis alongside the FD
  • \n
  • Producing weekly and monthly KPI reporting, providing meaningful insight to support business performance and decision making.
  • \n
  • Analysing acquisition performance against expectations and preparing reports for senior management, delivering numbers to the Directors/board
  • \n
  • Supporting continuous improvements in reporting, finance processes and data quality through strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
  • \n
  • Collaborating closely with the Finance Director and wider leadership team, providing commercial insight to support future growth.

Experience:

  • Studying CIMA/ACCA OR QBE
  • \n
  • Experience working in a growing SME environment is absolutely essential (under £30m turnover)
  • \n
  • Experience managing a small team essential
  • \n
  • Hands on, agile and keen to continue developing your experience
  • \n
