Hours of work: 08:00 17:00 Monday to Thursday / 07:00 16:00 Friday
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 depending on experience
Landowner Group is seeking a proactive Multi-Skilled Engineer to take ownership of the maintenance, reliability and continuous improvement of production equipment across its manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will support the manufacture of Animal Feed, AdBlue, Antifreeze, Screenwash and other products while leading engineering improvements, managing spare parts and supporting new projects.
Key Responsibilities\nTake ownership of day-to-day maintenance activities across production operations.
\nCarry out mechanical and electrical fault finding, repairs and preventative maintenance.
\nMaintain filling lines, blending equipment, pumps, conveyors, pneumatic systems and associated production machinery.
\nDiagnose and resolve breakdowns to minimise downtime and maximise production efficiency.
\nManage engineering spare parts inventory and ensure critical spares are maintained.
\nSource and order parts, also consumables required for maintenance activities.
\nLiaise with suppliers and contractors for technical support when needed.
\nInstallation, commissioning and improvement of new machinery and plant.
\nAssist with PLC fault finding and work alongside external automation providers.
\nLead minor engineering projects from concept through to completion.
\nIdentify recurring failures and implement permanent corrective actions.
\nSupport production teams and provide technical guidance and training where required.
\nPromote high standards of safety, housekeeping and engineering workmanship.
Ideal Candidate\nRecognized electrical qualification.
\nExperience fault-finding electrical systems, motors, sensors, contactors and industrial machinery.
\nAbility to read and understand electrical schematics and engineering drawings.
\nExperience with pneumatics and production equipment.
\nPLC fault-finding experience would be advantageous.
\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.
\nProactive attitude with the ability to work independently and take ownership.
\nExcellent communication and organisational skills.
Essential Skills\nMechanical and electrical maintenance experience.
\nHands-on approach and positive attitude.
\nAbility to prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks.
\nForklift or Telehandler licence, or willingness to gain one through training.
\nGood teamworking skills.
\nComfortable working both indoors and outdoors.
