If you're currently working as a Development Management or Policy Planning Officer within a Local Planning Authority and have been considering a move into consultancy, this could be an excellent opportunity to make that transition.

\n


\n

PropSource Consulting is exclusively supporting a growing independent planning consultancy in Central London as they continue to expand their planning team. They're looking to appoint a Town Planner and are particularly keen to speak with planners from local authorities who are looking for greater project variety, client exposure and long-term career progression.

\n

Applications are also welcomed from planners already working within private consultancy.

\n

The Opportunity

\n


\n

You'll work across a diverse portfolio of projects, including strategic residential developments, mixed-use schemes and multiple GLA referable applications throughout London and the South of England.

\n

You'll have the opportunity to:

    \n
  • Manage planning applications from inception through to determination.
  • \n
  • Prepare planning appraisals, reports and planning strategies.
  • \n
  • Work directly with developers, landowners and a broad range of private sector clients.
  • \n
  • Develop your project management skills with support from experienced Associates and Directors.
  • \n
  • Gain exposure to major development projects and complex planning issues across London and the South East.
  • \n

About You

\n


\n

You'll ideally have:

\n
    \n
  • MRTPI status or currently working through your RTPI-APC.
  • \n
  • Development Management, Planning Policy and/or consultancy experience.
  • \n
  • Experience assessing planning applications, preparing reports or developing planning policy.
  • \n
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • \n
  • An ambition to continue developing your career within a collaborative and growing team.
  • \n
