Job Description
Reporting to the Senior Legal Counsel of the Legal & Transaction Management (LTM) department, the Transaction Manager will be based in London. The successful applicant will support and manage a range of aircraft leasing, delivery, sale and related transaction management processes from Letter of Intent (LOI) stage to closing, primarily focusing on the European & African regions but also supporting transactions in the Americas as required.
\nResponsibilities:

- Proactively manage, or be a core member of the deal team for, aircraft leasing, aircraft delivery and aircraft sale transactions to ensure swift and efficient closings. Day-to-day work will include general transaction management as well as drafting principal, ancillary and delivery documents, liaising with airline and lessor counterparties as well as the OEMs and external/local counsel, and running conditions precedent processes. \n
- Take an active role in the preparation and revision of LOIs for transactions in the region. \n
- Prepare approval papers for the Company and its subsidiaries for presentation and approval in respect of each transaction being managed. \n
- Ensure compliance with internal processes for sign offs, approvals, waivers etc. and undertake transaction reporting as needed for each transaction being managed. \n
- Assist with lease enforcement and/or litigation activities in respect of aircraft portfolio. \n
- Assist with building the LTM’s precedent and legal knowledge database. \n
- Other tasks as assigned by the Head of Department, Deputy Head of Department and/or Senior Legal Counsel who is also based in London. \n
Requirements:

- Two or more years’ experience preferably in an international aviation law firm, aircraft leasing company or comparable transaction-management environment, ideally as a paralegal, trainee and/or junior lawyer. \n
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. \n
- Strong analytical and organisational skills, with meticulous attention to detail. \n
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. \n
- Self-starter with strong initiative and a hunger to learn and contribute. \n
- Driven, proactive, diligent, with a strong work ethic. \n
- Comfortable coordinating with stakeholders across functions, jurisdictions and time zones. \n
- Team player with a positive and solutions-oriented outlook. \n
- Proficiency in Word, Excel and document / content management systems. \n
