This role sits within a global fixed income investment team, partnering closely with Portfolio Managers across a range of public fixed income strategies, including global multi-sector, credit, sovereign, and European mandates.

The successful individual acts as the key link between the investment teams and external stakeholders, representing the investment philosophy, process and portfolio positioning to institutional clients, consultants, prospects and internal distribution teams. They also play an important role in feeding market and client intelligence back into the investment teams to help shape portfolio strategy, product development and investment communications.

Key Responsibilities

• Represent the investment teams externally, articulating investment philosophy, portfolio positioning, macroeconomic views and market outlook to institutional investors, consultants and prospects.

• Develop strong credibility and become an embedded member of the fixed income portfolio management teams.
\n
• Act as the voice of the client within the investment function, ensuring portfolio managers remain aligned to evolving client objectives and market expectations.
\n
• Contribute to portfolio discussions by providing client and market perspectives that help shape investment strategy.
\n
• Gather and communicate market intelligence, competitive insights and investor feedback to the wider investment organisation.
\n
• Support portfolio managers in preparing for client meetings, investment updates and strategic presentations.
\n
• Partner with Product, RFP and Distribution teams to develop high-quality investment materials and client deliverables.
\n
• Collaborate across investment and commercial teams to support strategic initiatives, product development and business growth.
\n
• Promote best practice across the broader investment specialist function.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have:

• A deep understanding of global fixed income markets, including rates, sovereign debt, investment grade and high yield credit.
\n
• Solid experience working with sophisticated institutional investors, consultants or asset owners.
\n
• The ability to communicate complex investment strategies and portfolio positioning to a broad range of audiences.
\n
• Strong written, verbal and presentation skills, with experience delivering investment content to institutional clients.
\n
• A collaborative approach and experience working closely with portfolio managers, product specialists and distribution teams.
\n
• The ability to interpret client feedback and market trends, translating these into meaningful insights for investment teams.
\n
• Willingness to travel internationally, particularly across Europe and North America.
\n
• Additional European language skills would be advantageous.
