As the business continues to grow, they are seeking an experienced Technical Manager to lead their technical function and contribute to the next phase of their development.
\nReporting directly to the CEO and forming part of the senior leadership team, this is a varied and influential position offering the opportunity to drive innovation, lead technical excellence, and play a key role in the company's long-term success.
\nYour key responsibilities will include:

- Leading the company's technical strategy and product development roadmap. \n
- Overseeing new product formulation and continuous product improvement. \n
- Managing quality assurance, quality control, and regulatory compliance activities. \n
- Providing technical support to customers, commercial teams, and manufacturing. \n
- Working closely with suppliers to support product innovation and changing regulatory requirements. \n
- Leading customer investigations and technical issue resolution. \n
- Driving process improvements and supporting manufacturing optimisation. \n
- Developing, mentoring, and leading a small multidisciplinary technical team. \n
- Collaborating with international colleagues and customers to deliver innovative technical solutions. \n
About You
\nTo be successful, you will bring a strong combination of scientific expertise, leadership experience, and commercial awareness.
\nIdeally, you will have:
\n- \n
- A degree in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline (MSc or PhD advantageous). \n
- At least 10 years' experience within specialty chemical manufacturing or formulation. \n
- Previous experience leading technical, laboratory, or quality teams. \n
- Strong expertise in formulation development, technical leadership, and product innovation. \n
- Experience managing quality systems and regulatory compliance within the chemical industry. \n
- Knowledge of UK, EU, and international chemical regulations. \n
- Experience working with customers and suppliers to deliver technical solutions. \n
- Excellent communication, project management, and problem-solving skills. \n
- A collaborative, hands-on approach with the ability to lead by example. \n
