The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced legal professional to join a growing insurance business, supporting a range of underwriting, coverage, and commercial activities.

Office: Please note that this role requires a minimum of four days per week in the office, providing excellent opportunities for collaboration and business engagement.

What you’ll do

• Provide legal support to underwriting and claims teams on coverage and policy-related matters.

• Review and analyse contractual documentation to identify legal and regulatory risks.
\n
• Draft and negotiate insurance, reinsurance, and commercial agreements.
\n
• Develop and maintain policy wordings, endorsements, and related documentation.
\n
• Advise on legal and regulatory developments impacting the business.
\n
• Support process improvement initiatives and contribute to legal best practices.
\n
• Collaborate with stakeholders across multiple business functions to deliver practical commercial solutions.

Who we’re looking for

• Qualified lawyer with significant post-qualification experience.
\n
• Background in insurance or reinsurance, either in private practice or in-house.
\n
• Experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts and insurance documentation.
\n
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
\n
• Commercially minded, highly organised, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Collaborative approach with the ability to provide clear, pragmatic legal advice.
