Senior Damp, Mould and Disrepair Surveyor

MMP Consultancy is recruiting a Senior Damp, Mould & Disrepair Surveyor on behalf of a Local Authority. This role will lead the delivery of damp, mould and disrepair services, ensuring cases are managed in line with Awaab's Law, HHSRS requirements and housing legislation.

Council | Temporary Contract

£450 per day (Umbrella)

12-Month Contract | 3–4 Days On-Site

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and support a team of Damp & Mould and Disrepair Surveyors.
\n
• Lead on complex damp, mould and disrepair cases.
\n
• Carry out inspections, diagnose defects and specify remedial works.
\n
• Ensure compliance with Awaab's Law, HHSRS and Council policies.
\n
• Manage cases through to completion, working with contractors and internal stakeholders.
\n
• Monitor contractor performance and quality assure completed works.
\n
• Produce technical reports, schedules of work and performance updates.
\n
• Provide expert advice to housing, legal and asset management teams.
\n

Essential Experience

\n
• Strong knowledge of damp, mould, condensation, water ingress, ventilation and housing disrepair.
\n
• Experience diagnosing building defects within social housing or local authority housing.
\n
• Good understanding of Awaab's Law, HHSRS, Decent Homes Standard and housing legislation.
\n
• Previous experience managing or supervising surveyors.
\n
• Experience preparing survey reports, specifications and schedules of work.
\n
• Proven ability to manage contractors and remedial works programmes.
\n
