We are recruiting for a Shift Coordinator Manager to join a leading manufacturing organisation in Liverpool. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced leader to play a key role in driving operational performance, ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency across a busy manufacturing site.

As the Shift Coordinator Manager, you will provide leadership and direction to operational teams, ensuring production targets are achieved while fostering a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork, and operational excellence.

The Role

\n

Reporting into the site leadership team, you will be responsible for coordinating shift activities, managing resources effectively, and ensuring smooth production operations.

\n

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage shift teams to ensure safe and efficient operations.
  • \n
  • Prioritise production requirements and allocate shift resources effectively.
  • \n
  • Promote and maintain a strong safety, quality, and environmental culture.
  • \n
  • Ensure all work areas are maintained to the highest housekeeping standards.
  • \n
  • Act as the key point of contact during emergency situations.
  • \n
  • Investigate customer complaints and implement corrective actions to drive continuous improvement.
  • \n
  • Develop, review, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • \n
  • Provide long-term shift cover and support short-term operational and shipping requirements.
  • \n
  • Troubleshoot production process and equipment issues, identifying effective solutions.
  • \n
  • Collaborate with and support other departments across the site as required.
  • \n
  • Motivate, coach, and develop team members to achieve operational excellence.
  • \n

About You

Essential Requirements

  • Previous leadership experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • \n
  • Strong commitment to health, safety, quality, and environmental standards.
  • \n
  • Excellent communication and team management skills.
  • \n
  • Ability to work independently and make informed decisions under pressure.
  • \n
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving capabilities.
  • \n
  • Competent IT skills.
  • \n
  • HNC qualification or equivalent.
  • \n

  • Food manufacturing within a continuous process environment.
  • \n
  • Lean Manufacturing methodologies and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • \n
  • Manufacturing or process industry experience.
  • \n
  • Chemical process manufacturing experience.
  • \n
  • Production line experience.
  • \n
  • Shipping and logistics experience.
  • \n
  • Scissor lift certification.
  • \n
  • Forklift experience.
  • \n
  • Banksman training.
  • \n
