\nSurrey | On-site with some hybrid flexibility | Competitive six-figure salary
\nWe are partnering with a long-established charitable organisation based in Surrey to appoint a Chief Executive Officer.
\nThe charity supports children and young people facing challenging personal circumstances, helping them access stability, opportunity and improved long-term outcomes through education and pastoral support.
\nThis is a newly created and highly influential leadership role, reporting directly to the Chair and Board of Trustees. The successful candidate will shape the organisation’s future strategy, strengthen its financial sustainability and lead a small, committed team through the next stage of its development.
\nThe role combines strategic leadership with hands-on responsibility across fundraising, governance, finance, operations, partnerships and commercial income generation.
\nKey responsibilities will include:

- Developing and delivering the organisation’s long-term strategy \n
- Advising and working closely with the Board of Trustees \n
- Leading fundraising and developing new income streams \n
- Taking overall responsibility for financial performance and sustainability \n
- Maximising commercial opportunities from a significant property and estate portfolio \n
- Managing key external partnerships and service-provider relationships \n
- Overseeing safeguarding assurance, service quality and organisational risk \n
- Leading and developing a small senior team \n
- Acting as an ambassador with funders, partners, regulators and wider stakeholders \n
We are interested in candidates who can demonstrate:

- Senior leadership experience within a charity and demonstrable experience of charity governance and regulatory compliance, including working with trustees and ensuring appropriate reporting, controls and procedures are in place to meet Charity Commission requirements. \n
- A strong track record in fundraising, grants, trusts, corporate partnerships or major-donor engagement \n
- Experience of estates, property, commercial income or asset optimisation \n
- Strong financial and commercial acumen \n
- Confidence working with Boards, trustees and regulated governance structures \n
- Experience managing complex partnerships, contracts or outsourced services \n
- The ability to combine strategic thinking with practical, hands-on leadership \n
- A genuine commitment to improving outcomes for vulnerable children and young people \n
