The Role

Joining a highly regarded team in Worthing/Hove, you will manage a high-quality caseload of complex private client matters for high-net-worth individuals, families, and vulnerable clients. As a senior leader, you will drive department growth, mentor junior talent, and shape strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Caseload Management: Oversee complex wills, LPAs, probate, trusts, estate administration, and high-net-worth estate planning.
\n
• Leadership & Mentorship: Supervise, train, and support junior fee earners, paralegals, and trainees to build a strong succession pipeline.
\n
• Strategic Growth: Drive business development, foster key referrer networks, and contribute to department strategy and commercial success.
\n
• Client Excellence: Build lasting relationships with a broad range of clients, delivering empathetic, high-quality, and tailored legal advice.
\n

What You’ll Bring

\n
• Experience: 7+ years PQE as a Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with deep technical expertise in private client law (STEP qualification is advantageous).
\n
• Leadership: Proven ability to manage, support, and inspire colleagues in a collaborative team setting.
\n
• Commercial Drive: Strong networking skills with a proactive approach to generating new business and building lasting client relationships.
\n
• Client Focus: Exceptional communication skills, combining technical precision with empathy and tact.
\n
