Safety and Compliance Manager

As a Bell Helicopter Customer Service Facility since 1981 and a Leonardo Helicopters Authorized Service Centre since 2008, the company has a long-standing reputation for technical excellence and reliability. Heliwork operates a 20,000 square foot hangar with dedicated workshops for dynamic and hydraulic component maintenance, repair, and overhaul. In 2020, the company expanded with a 10,000 square foot hangar focused on Leonardo blade repair operations, strengthening its position as a key partner in the rotary-wing sector. Responsibilities and opportunities:

The role is full time and offers an exciting opportunity with excellent prospects for the right candidate. Working with an exceptional team of loyal and skilled technicians and service engineers, your responsibilities will cover:

• Responsible for the independent Quality System that monitors company compliance with its approvals, currently UK Part 145, EASA Part 145 and FAA Repair Station;
\n
• Mange the safety management system to meet current regulatory requirements;
\n
• Liaise with the Maintenance Manager regarding all matters affecting safety and compliance
\n
• In conjunction with the Maintenance Manager, ensure that Maintenance Procedures are established and published within the company to achieve good maintenance practices and compliance with regulatory requirements;
\n
• Be responsible for the monitoring and amendment of the company’s expositions and procedure documents;
\n
• Manage the Audit Programme, and the pertaining Corrective Action Reports arising from Internal and External Audits;
\n
• In conjunction with the Maintenance Manager, ensure the competence of all company staff involved in maintenance;
\n
• Manage the company’s system for tool control and calibration of measuring tools;
\n
• Ensure that systems are established and maintained, to ensure the availability and latest revision standard, of all required Technical Information and Maintenance Instructions relevant to the company’s current approvals;
\n
• Assess sub-contractors for extension of the quality system, and perform audits of such sub-contractors.

• Assess suppliers of new and used components, and materials, for satisfactory product quality in relation to the needs of the company;

Your profile:

The position is available to candidates with a can-do attitude, who demonstrate excellent communication and leadership skills, and is subject to Authority approval. We are seeking a motivated individual with the following profile:

\n
• Comprehensive knowledge of Part 145 and associated requirements and procedures
\n
• At least five years of relevant work experience in both, airframe and component maintenance (Part 145 A and C ratings)
\n
• Training qualifications relevant to the position, such as Quality Auditing, Root Cause Analysis and Part 145
\n
• All applicants must reside within commuting distance of our facility in Thruxton Airport.
\n
• Having been previously approved by EASA/CAA on Form 4 for the Part-145 Safety and Compliance Manager position would be an advantage
