Part Time Business Data Assistant

Key responsibilities:

1. Supplement and update the basic information in our databases.
\n
2. Assist in cleaning up and classifying primary data to ensure accuracy and usability.
\n
3. Serve as a programmer in data analysis projects utilizing Python-based tools.
\n
4. Adjust and manipulate data to meet specific analytical needs.
\n
5. Integrate historical data and establish separate databases using Microsoft Access.
\n
6. Assist analysts in designing logical principles for data processing and analysis.
\n
7. Research external data sources that align with the analyst’s requirements.
\n
8. Support internal data analysis with market benchmarks and economic environment insights.
\n
9. Assist analysts in building models for market forecasting, including revenue and pricing predictions.
\n
10. Utilize programming languages such as Python and R for data analysis and model building.
\n
11. Perform other tasks as assigned by the line manager to support the data analysis team.
\n
12. Assist with calculating business performance and provide training to colleagues.

Requirements：

\n
1. Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Business Analytics, Marketing, or a related field.
\n
2. Strong interest in data analysis, market research, business intelligence, and data-driven decision-making.
\n
3. Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including data manipulation, formulas, pivot tables, and basic reporting.
\n
4. Familiarity with Python for data processing and analysis. Experience with libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, or similar tools would be an advantage.
\n
5. Basic understanding of databases and data management principles. Experience with Microsoft Access, SQL, or other database tools is desirable.
\n
6. Ability to collect, organize, clean, and validate large volumes of data with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
\n
7. Analytical mindset with the ability to identify trends, patterns, and insights from data.
\n
8. Knowledge of market analysis, business performance analysis, forecasting, or statistical modelling would be beneficial.
\n
9. Familiarity with R, Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualization and analytical tools would be considered an advantage.
\n
10. Good research skills with the ability to gather and evaluate information from external sources.
\n
11. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain data findings clearly to non-technical colleagues.
\n
12. Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
\n
13. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
\n
14. Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Chinese language skills would be an advantage but are not essential.
