We're recruiting a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) within a nurturing mainstream school. You'll work closely with teachers and the SENCO to adapt learning activities, promote inclusion and help pupils achieve their individual learning goals. Your Responsibilities Support pupils with SEN on a one-to-one basis and in small groups Assist children with Autism (ASC), ADHD and additional learning needs Adapt learning resources to meet individual needs Encourage positive behaviour and classroom participation Promote communication, confidence and independence Support pupils' emotional, social and academic development Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs and parents where appropriate We're Looking For Applications are welcomed from: SEN Teaching Assistants Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) Teaching Assistants Essential Requirements '14; Experience supporting children or young people with SEN '14; Positive, caring and proactive approach '14; Excellent communication and teamwork skills '14; Passion for inclusive education '14; Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one) '14; Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children Desirable Experience Previous school-based SEN experience Autism (ASC), ADHD or speech and language support Behaviour management experience Childcare or Education qualifications Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential) Ready to Take the Next Step?
