Facilities Team Member (Temporary)Start Date: 16th August 2026 Basic Pay Rate: £13.71 per hour Working Days: Monday to Friday Working Hours: 08:00am - 04:00pm Duration: 16th August 2026 – 4th September 2026 Location: Southampton Role OverviewWe're currently recruiting for a temporary Facilities Team Member to join a busy facilities team in Southampton. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with practical maintenance experience who enjoys hands-on work and takes pride in maintaining high standards. You'll be supporting the on-site Facilities Team with a variety of planned maintenance tasks to ensure the property remains safe, compliant, and well presented throughout the assignment. Key Responsibilities Carrying out water flushing in line with site procedures. Completing touch-up painting across the property. Assisting with general handyman and maintenance tasks. Supporting the Facilities Team with day-to-day maintenance activities. Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment. Reporting any maintenance issues or defects to the Facilities Manager. Following all health and safety policies and procedures. Candidate Requirements Previous maintenance, facilities, or handyman experience. Practical approach with good DIY and basic repair skills. Experience using hand tools safely and effectively. Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently. Good attention to detail and a proactive attitude. Able to work as part of a team and follow instructions. Understanding of health and safety in a maintenance environment is desirable.
