Days: Monday to Friday

Hours: 10.00am – 3.00pm (25 hours per week)

Salary: £13.50 per hour

Simon Lincoln Recruitment Solutions are recruiting on behalf of Homes for Students for a Temporary Resident Services Assistant to join the team at Waterloo House, York during the busy summer turnaround period.

\n

This is a customer-focused role, supporting the day-to-day operation of the property and ensuring both current and arriving residents receive an excellent level of service. You will be the first point of contact for residents and visitors whilst assisting with administrative tasks and helping prepare the property for the new academic year.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide a friendly and professional front-of-house service to residents and visitors.
  • \n
  • Assist with resident arrivals, departures and check-ins.
  • \n
  • Respond to resident enquiries in person, by telephone and via email.
  • \n
  • Carry out room inspections and report any maintenance issues.
  • \n
  • Support the preparation of bedrooms and communal areas for new residents.
  • \n
  • Assist with parcel handling and key management.
  • \n
  • Update property systems and complete general administrative duties.
  • \n
  • Work closely with the maintenance and housekeeping teams to ensure the property is presented to a high standard.
  • \n
  • Ensure Health & Safety procedures are followed at all times.
  • \n
  • Deliver excellent customer service and represent Homes for Students professionally.

Skills & Experience

\n
    \n
  • Previous customer service, reception, hospitality or administrative experience.
  • \n
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • \n
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • \n
  • Well organised with strong attention to detail.
  • \n
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • \n
  • Professional, reliable and enthusiastic with a positive attitude.
