Accounts Assistant
Job Description
An opportunity to join a busy and dynamic finance team with both bookkeeping and administrative tasks, including invoicing, purchase ledger management, bank reconciliations, credit control and day to day finance support. The company, a growing SME who trade internationally are based in Andover.
\nAs Accounts assistant, your role will include the following:

- Managing the purchase ledger, including invoices and reconciling statements \n
- Maintain accurate financial records, including processing invoices, payments and receipts \n
- Assisting with bank reconciliations and VAT returns \n
- Processing and reconciling employee expenses and company credit cards \n
- Liaising with suppliers and customers to answer any accounts related queries \n
- Involvement with credit control duties \n
- Ensure compliance with financial procedures, company policies and relevant regulations \n
- Providing administrative support to the finance team \n
Required skills and qualifications:

- Experience within an accounts assistant or assistant accountant role \n
- Proven experience of purchase ledger, sales ledger and credit control \n
- Strong numeracy and attention to detail \n
- Strong Excel skills (intermediate level or above), and proficiency in Microsoft Office \n
- Excellent organisation and time management skills \n
- Strong communication skills to build good working relationships with clients, suppliers and colleagues \n
- The ability to work independently and also contribute to a collaborative team environment \n
