Financial Reporting Analyst

Orka Financial is partnering with a global business based in Bracknell to recruit a Financial Reporting Analyst for their clients forward-thinking finance team.

Working closely with the Finance Manager, you’ll gain valuable exposure to technical accounting, financial reporting and wider finance projects.

This is a strong opportunity for an analytical ACCA or CIMA studier who wants to broaden their experience, take on more responsibility and continue progressing their finance career.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the preparation of internal management information and other business reports.
\n
• Support the external audit process by responding to day-to-day queries and providing the information requested by auditors.
\n
• Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns.
\n
• Monitor developments in accounting standards and relevant legislation.
\n
• Help the reporting team assess the impact of new accounting requirements and support the implementation of appropriate accounting treatments.
\n
• Support management accounts, liaising with relevant third parties and completing closure activities.
\n
• Complete additional analysis and one-off reporting requested by finance management.
\n
• Contribute to finance-led projects and wider business projects requiring input from the finance team.
\n
• Support the line manager with internal and external matters.
\n

Candidate profile

\n
• Currently studying towards an ACCA or CIMA qualification.
\n
• Strong analytical skills and good attention to detail.
\n
• Some experience within financial accounting, reporting or a similar finance position.
\n
• Confident working with financial information and meeting deadlines.
\n

Salary £35,000 - £37,000 - hybrid working model, career progression
