Installations Coordinator | Office-Based with Occasional Site Travel | Full Time | £32,000 - £38,000 per annum DOEOur client specialises in residential and commercial automation alongside the manufacture of industry-leading aluminium gates. They design, build, install and maintain electric gates, entry systems, bollards and barriers. They pride themselves on the quality of their work and the satisfaction of their customers.The RoleAs an Installations Coordinator, you will be responsible for the planning, coordination and successful delivery of installation projects from accepted quote through to completion. Acting as the central point of contact for customers, suppliers, subcontractors and installation engineers, you will ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, profitably and to the highest standards of customer service.This position plays a key role in the day-to-day management of the installation department, requiring excellent organisational skills, commercial awareness, strong communication and the ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating installation projects and supporting the day-to-day operation of the department, with the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility as they develop within the role, helping to shape and improve the installation function over time.Key ResponsibilitiesProject CoordinationManage installation projects from planning through to completionCoordinate installation schedules with customers, suppliers, subcontractors and internal teamsAllocate installation resources effectively, ensuring engineers, subcontractors and equipment are utilised efficientlyMonitor project progress to ensure work is completed safely, on time and within budgetIdentify potential delays or issues and proactively implement solutionsEnsure installation engineers have the necessary information, equipment and materials before attending siteMaintain clear communication with all stakeholders throughout each projectCustomer ServiceAct as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the installation processRespond promptly to customer enquiries via telephone and emailProvide advice and guidance on our products and installation processKeep customers informed of project progress, scheduling changes and completion datesArrange and coordinate follow-up visits where requiredMaintain a professional, friendly and solutions-focused approach at all timesAdministrationMaintain accurate project records, internal notes and documentationRecord project variations, customer requests and additional worksUpdate internal systems to ensure project information remains accurate and currentProduce and maintain installation documentation and project recordsEnsure all relevant information is available to internal departments and installation teamsProcurement & LogisticsOrder installation materials, components and equipment from suppliersMonitor deliveries to ensure materials arrive in line with installation schedulesResolve supply issues and source suitable alternatives where necessaryCoordinate stock and equipment requirements with the installation teamEnsure engineers have the correct parts, tools and documentation before leaving for site each dayEngineering SupportProvide day-to-day support to installation engineersAssist with technical queries and operational decisionsCoordinate remedial works and follow-up visitsPrice remedial works, variations and additional customer requestsHelp resolve installation issues quickly and effectively while maintaining customer satisfactionCommercial ResponsibilitiesMonitor project profitability throughout the installation processReview labour, material and subcontractor costs against project budgetsIdentify opportunities to improve efficiency and profitabilityHighlight commercial risks or overspends to management and recommend appropriate actionSite Visits & MeetingsOccasionally attend pre-installation site surveys and customer meetings where an office representative is requiredFrom time to time, visit installation sites to assist with resolving queries, assessing issues or supporting installation engineersCarry out occasional post-installation inspections or customer follow-up visits where requiredReport findings from site visits and ensure any actions are communicated and followed throughPost-install site inspections to ensure all deliverables have been carried out to the appropriate standardHealth & SafetyPromote safe working practices throughout the installation departmentEnsure installation teams have the necessary information to carry out work safelySupport compliance with company health and safety procedures and relevant legislationRaise any safety concerns identified during site visits or project planningContinuous ImprovementIdentify opportunities to improve installation processes, communication and efficiencyAssist in developing and maintaining installation procedures and documentationContribute ideas that improve customer experience, project delivery and departmental performanceGeneral ResponsibilitiesSupport the day-to-day running of the installation departmentBuild and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers and subcontractorsWork closely with the sales, production and management teams to ensure smooth project deliveryMaintain high standards of professionalism, quality and customer careUndertake any other duties reasonably required to support the successful operation of the businessRequirementsEssentialExcellent organisational and time management skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyGood commercial wider teamFull UK driving licenceDesirableExperience within the construction, engineering, manufacturing or home improvement industriesExperience coordinating installation or service teamsKnowledge of
