HR Officer / Advisor

\nKey Responsibilities
\nDrawing on insights from the current HR lead, your role will include:

- Policy & Process Development \n
- Review, create and implement HR policies and procedures \n
- Consolidate and refine existing documentation into clear, practical frameworks \n
- Support the development of consistent, scalable HR processes \n
- Operational HR Support \n
- Manage day-to-day HR queries and provide timely, accurate advice \n
- Support employee lifecycle activities including contracts, changes to terms, and documentation \n
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of HR data and systems \n
- Stakeholder Management \n
- Build strong relationships with line managers across the business \n
- Coach and guide managers who may have limited people management experience \n
- Act as a trusted advisor, helping managers navigate people challenges \n
- Recruitment Support & Coordination \n
- Drive recruitment processes to conclusion, ensuring pace and efficiency \n
- Support hiring managers with best practice and structure \n
- Track and manage recruitment activity to ensure visibility and accountability \n
- Training & Development Support \n
- Assist in delivering internal training sessions (e.g. investigations, return-to-work processes) \n
- Contribute to building management capability across the organisation \n
- Opportunity to gain exposure to L&D initiatives \n
- Continuous Improvement \n
- Identify inefficiencies and proactively suggest improvements \n
- Support the implementation of systems, metrics, and reporting \n
- Help embed a more proactive, solutions-focused HR approach \n
- Generalist HR & Employee Relations \n
- Provide support on ER matters with guidance from the HR lead \n
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation and internal standards \n
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism \n
What We Are Looking For

- Previous experience in a HR Advisor / Officer level role \n
- Strong practical HR knowledge across generalist activities \n
- Ability to work at pace and manage multiple priorities \n
- Confident decision-maker who can use initiative and “read the room” \n
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail \n
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders \n
- Comfortable working in an evolving, sometimes ambiguous environment \n
- Good IT and systems capability (essential for improving processes and documentation) \n
- CIPD qualification (or working towards) desirable but not essential \n
