Estates Operative
Job Description
Estates Operative
\nNorthwood College for Girls
\nNorthwood, North West London
\n£30,291 to £35,967
\nDon't settle for your next maintenance job. Find one that moves your career forward.
\nYou're practical. You enjoy fixing things, learning new skills and seeing the results of a job well done. Now you're looking for somewhere that will invest in your future, develop your skills and help you build a career, not just another maintenance job.
\nAt Northwood College for Girls, part of the prestigious Girls' Day School Trust (GDST), you'll join a friendly Estates Team that helps keep one of the UK's leading independent girls' schools running smoothly.
\nNo two days are the same. You'll carry out a variety of maintenance tasks, support school events and help create a safe, welcoming environment for pupils, staff and visitors.
\nWe're not just looking for someone to maintain our school. We're looking for someone who wants to grow with it.
\nWorking alongside experienced caretakers, you'll receive excellent training through the GDST and be supported to develop your skills. Ideally, you'll have some maintenance or basic plumbing skills, but we're far more interested in someone who's practical, uses their initiative and is eager to learn. We'll give you the support and opportunities to build a long-term career with us.
\nUnlike many estates roles, we've invested in dedicated weekend and evening cover, meaning no regular weekend working, giving you a genuine work life balance.
\nAlongside a salary of £30,291 to £35,967, you'll enjoy 30 days' holiday plus Bank Holidays, an excellent pension, free lunches during term time, access to the school's gym and swimming pool, a Cycle to Work scheme, travel loans and additional lifestyle benefits.
\nReady to Build Your Future?
\nClick Apply, or send your CV to our recruitment partner Tom Morrison at Sielo Search at [email protected]. If your CV isn't completely up to date, don't worry. We're more interested in your potential than a perfectly polished application.
\nSafeguarding Statement:
\nThe Girls’ Day School Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, and applicants must be willing to undergo child protection checks appropriate to the post, including online searches and checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service.
