Motor Insurance/Large Loss Litigator or Claims Lawyer, Leading Insurance Provider

The client

We are working with a high-performing insurer seeking a 3+ PQE motor insurance lawyer or large loss litigation/claims specialist.

This is a high-impact position within a business demonstrating strong profitability and growth, where you will operate at the intersection of claims, legal, operations, and data-led strategy.

The role

You will take ownership of claims, with a focus on:

• Leading negotiations with credit hire providers and other external partners
\n
• Assessing partner performance and customer interaction models
\n
• Using data and insights to drive cost control and strategic decision-making
\n
• Supporting innovation and digital initiatives, including AI-led claims assessment
\n
• Partnering with actuarial and operational teams on reserving and claims lifecycle optimisation
\n

What we’re looking for

• Strong background in motor insurance / large loss litigation or claims
\n
• 3+ PQE experience, either in-house or in private practice
\n
• Commercially astute, with strong negotiation skills
\n
• Comfortable working with data to inform strategy
\n
• Ability to present clear, structured arguments and influence senior stakeholders
\n
• Interest in digital transformation and claims innovation
\n
