The Role
\nThis is an excellent opportunity for an experienced insurance lawyer to step into a broad and influential role, working closely with senior leadership to provide practical legal advice, manage regulatory requirements, and help drive key business initiatives.
\nOffice: Please note that this role requires a minimum of four days per week in the office, providing excellent opportunities for collaboration and business engagement.

\nWhat you’ll do

- Lead legal, regulatory, and compliance matters for a specialist insurance platform operating within the London market. \n
- Provide strategic advice on insurance, governance, regulatory, and commercial issues across the business. \n
- Oversee legal, compliance, and corporate governance activities. \n
- Support engagement with industry bodies, regulators, and other key external stakeholders. \n
- Advise senior management on risk, governance, and business-critical initiatives. \n
- Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial and operational agreements. \n
- Support data protection, regulatory, and compliance frameworks across the organisation. \n
- Manage external legal advisers and oversee legal spend. \n
- Collaborate with colleagues across multiple jurisdictions on legal and regulatory matters. \n
- Provide support for board and committee governance activities and related corporate matters. \n
Who we’re looking for

- Qualified solicitor with significant post-qualification experience gained in the insurance industry. \n
- Strong insurance and reinsurance background, with strong exposure to the London market and regulated environments. \n
- Experience advising on regulatory, governance, compliance, and commercial matters. \n
- Familiarity with UK and European regulatory frameworks. \n
- Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills. \n
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities. \n
- Commercial, pragmatic, and solutions-oriented approach. \n
- Collaborative team player with excellent communication skills. \n
