An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a Housing Solicitor up to 5PQE to join a highly regarded housing litigation team in Manchester. This Housing Solicitor in Manchester role offers exposure to a broad range of housing management and litigation matters, acting on behalf of Registered Providers across complex and challenging cases. Working as a Housing Solicitor in Manchester, you’ll gain hands-on responsibility from day one while benefiting from the support of experienced specialists in one of the UK’s leading housing law teams.

The Role:

    \n
  • Managing a varied caseload of housing litigation matters on behalf of Registered Providers
  • \n
  • Advising on anti-social behaviour cases and enforcement action
  • \n
  • Conducting possession proceedings and housing management litigation
  • \n
  • Handling injunction applications and committal proceedings
  • \n
  • Managing housing disrepair and property condition claims
  • \n
  • Advising on hoarding and access matters
  • \n
  • Attending court hearings and undertaking advocacy where appropriate
  • \n
  • Drafting pleadings, witness statements, applications and other legal documentation
  • \n
  • Supporting senior lawyers on complex and high-value matters
  • \n
  • Building strong client relationships and delivering practical, commercially focused advice
  • \n

The Candidate:

    \n
  • Qualified Solicitor with up to 5 years’ PQE
  • \n
  • Experience in housing litigation, social housing law or a strong interest in the sector
  • \n
  • Exposure to contentious legal work and case management
  • \n
  • Advocacy experience or a genuine desire to develop advocacy skills
  • \n
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
  • \n
  • Strong communication and client relationship management skills
  • \n
  • Proactive, ambitious and career-driven approach
  • \n
  • Team focused with a collaborative working style
  • \n
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • \n
  • Strong drafting and analytical skills
