\nThe Opportunity
\nWe are recruiting on behalf of a growing, reputable property consultancy seeking an experienced MRICS qualified Chartered Surveyor to step into a Regional Director role within their Building Surveying function. This is a rare opportunity to take full ownership of a regional team, leading technical delivery, performance, and commercial growth across the Midlands and North.
\nKey Responsibilities
\nAs Regional Director, you will:
\n- \n
- Lead, mentor, and develop a regional team of Building Surveyors, ensuring high technical standards and commercial efficiency \n
- Take accountability for recruitment, utilisation, team wellbeing, and growth planning \n
- Continue to deliver senior-level technical work, including project management and contract administration on projects ranging from £50k to £3m+ \n
- Act as Principal Designer under CDM Regulations and advise on Building Safety Act related reporting \n
- Prepare schedules of dilapidations, condition surveys, lifecycle reports, and reinstatement cost assessments \n
- Drive business development, strengthen client relationships, and secure new instructions across residential and commercial portfolios \n
- Contribute strategically to regional and national growth as part of the wider leadership group \n

Candidate Requirements
\nEssential:
\n- \n
- MRICS qualified with 5+ years’ post-qualification experience \n
- Proven experience leading or managing a surveying team \n
- Strong commercial mindset with a track record of driving growth \n
- Deep technical knowledge of construction, building pathology, and contract administration \n
- Full, clean UK driving licence and willingness to travel as required \n
Highly Desirable:
\n- \n
- Experience in residential property management \n
- Experience as Principal Designer under CDM 2015 \n
- Building Safety Act / Higher Risk Building instruction experience \n
- Major remediation or compliance project monitoring \n
- Mentoring APC candidates \n
- AutoCAD capability \n
