Biogas Maintenance Engineer

Astute's Renewables team is partnered with an established and expanding business, who own and run a portfolio of anaerobic digestion plant. They are looking to recruit a Maintenance Engineer for their site in Exeter.The Maintenance Engineer role comes with a competitive salary + bonus, and excellent benefits package.If you have experience working as a Maintenance Engineer in a heavy processing environment and are looking to work for an organisation that is passionate about renewable energy, then upload your CV toResponsibilities and duties of the Maintenance Engineer roleReporting to the Regional Plant Manager you will:Be Responsible for all operational equipment and machinery including, but not limited to front end processing, pumping technology, digester and ancillary equipment, heating circuit and pasteurisation processesFollow, maintain and improve FIIX for all PPM's, input and detail any repairs or services on machinery to enhance a maintenance regime against each piece of equipment.Review and or provide thorough method statements, risk assessments and permit to work for non-routine maintenance tasksBuild and improve on a thorough planned preventative maintenance programSupport across three sites within their portfolio as and when neededProvide basic training, support and mentoring for site operativesDeliver planned improvements and refurbishments as part of the planned maintenance programmeEnsure control measures and SSW (safe systems of work) are in place when undertaking any maintenance taskMaintain high standards of housekeeping and insure a safe and tidy work areas.Undertake any training requirements as identified by your line manager to support you in your role.Be part of an on-call rotaOther duties as requiredProfessional qualificationsWe are looking for someone with the following:A recognised engineering qualification or demonstratable experienceIOSH is desiredCompex and ATEX is desiredTelehandler licence or experienceA full UK Driving Licence is essentialPersonal skillsThe Maintenance Engineer role would suit someone who is:Experience working in anaerobic digestion or a similar heavy processing environment such as water treatment, food manufacturing ectPractical environmental and working safely knowledgeElectrical competenceComputer literateMechanical hands-on Engineering EssentialWorking Knowledge of substrate pumpsConfined Space TrainingExperience of using and fixing pumps, valves, screw conveyors, gearbox drive units, heating circuits, Macerators, Hammermills and MixersSalary and benefits of the Maintenance Engineer roleCompetitive salary depending on experienceCompany BonusCompany PensionOther benefits discussed at interview#LI-AR1INDRENAstute People are acting as an employment agency in relation to this vacancy.
