Health & Safety Consultant (Contract)Leeds£350 per dayOutside IR3510-12 Week Contract, possible extensionSearch² is supporting a specialist engineering and construction contractor in the appointment of a Health & Safety Consultant to support the safe delivery of multiple live construction projects in Leeds.Working as part of an experienced project team, you'll provide practical Health & Safety support across active construction works, helping ensure projects are delivered safely, compliantly and in accordance with Principal Contractor responsibilities.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Health & Safety professional looking for an immediate contract, with the potential for further project work beyond the initial 10-12 week assignment.Why This Opportunity?This is a site-based role supporting the delivery of technically interesting engineering and construction projects within a live operational environment.You'll work alongside an experienced Health & Safety Manager and wider project team, allowing you to focus on maintaining high standards on site, engaging with contractors and providing practical Health & Safety support throughout the construction programme.With further projects already planned, there is a strong possibility of additional contract work for the successful consultant.What You Will Be Doing Supporting the Principal Contractor in fulfilling duties under the CDM RegulationsProviding day-to-day Health & Safety support across multiple live construction projectsCarrying out site inspections, audits and compliance reviewsEngaging positively with contractors and project teams to promote safe working practicesMonitoring contractor performance and supporting compliance with project standardsAssisting with Health & Safety documentation and site communicationsSupporting incident investigations and ensuring corrective actions are implementedProviding practical advice to project teams throughout the construction phaseHelping maintain a positive Health & Safety culture across site activitiesWhat You Will Need Previous experience operating as a Health & Safety Consultant, Health & Safety Manager or Senior Health & Safety Advisor within construction or engineeringStrong understanding of CDM Regulations and Principal Contractor responsibilitiesExperience supporting live construction projectsConfidence carrying out site inspections, audits and contractor engagementExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsA practical, pragmatic approach to Health & SafetyAvailability to start at short noticeExperience supporting industrial, engineering or complex construction environments would be advantageous.Package £350 per dayOutside IR35Initial 10-12 week contractImmediate start availableMonday-Friday site-based rolePotential for additional contract opportunitiesSupport from an experienced project delivery team and Head OfficeIf you're an experienced Health & Safety Consultant available at short notice and looking for your next contract opportunity, we'd welcome a confidential discussion.Search² specialises in Health, Safety, Environment and Risk critical hires across construction, engineering, manufacturing, infrastructure and utilities throughout the UK.TPBN1_UKTJ
