Project Engineering Manager | Ayrshire | CompetitiveA leading manufacturing organisation is seeking an experienced Project Engineering Manager to join their team and take responsibility for the successful delivery of complex engineering projects within a highly regulated environment.This is a key leadership role, responsible for managing site capital projects, leading a team of Project Engineers, and ensuring engineering solutions are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with technical, commercial, and regulatory requirements.The successful candidate will play a critical role in coordinating multidisciplinary teams, managing project delivery, and driving continuous improvement across engineering activities.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage the Project Engineering team, providing technical leadership, coaching, and supportManage engineering projects from concept through to completion, ensuring delivery against scope, schedule, budget, and quality requirementsDevelop project plans, allocate resources, and coordinate activities across multiple engineering disciplinesMonitor project costs, manage scope changes, and maintain effective budget and schedule controlOversee engineering design activities, ensuring solutions meet safety, compliance, and operational requirementsManage engineering changes through formal change control processesAct as a key interface between engineering teams, contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholdersIdentify project risks and implement mitigation strategies to support successful deliveryEnsure compliance with health, safety, environmental, quality, and regulatory standardsManage contractor performance to ensure safe, compliant, and timely project executionSupport post-project reviews and continuous improvement initiativesWhat Were Looking ForDegree qualified in Engineering or a related discipline, with relevant industry experienceProven experience managing engineering projects within a complex or regulated environmentStrong leadership experience, with the ability to manage and develop engineering teamsBroad knowledge of multidisciplinary engineering practices and standardsExperience managing project scope, budgets, schedules, and risksExperience with design reviews, engineering change processes, and technical governanceStrong understanding of health, safety, and risk management principlesExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsAbility to build strong working relationships and influence across all levels of an organisationStrong IT skills, including Microsoft Office applicationsDesirable experience:Recognised project management qualification (APM, PRINCE2, or equivalent)Experience in safety-critical or highly regulated industriesHAZOP knowledge or process safety experienceNEBOSH qualificationContractor management experienceTPBN1_UKTJ
