Accounts Manager

A well-established firm of Chartered Accountants in Workington is seeking an experienced Accounts Manager to join their growing practice, offering flexible working, company pension, and much more. As Accounts Manager, you will take ownership of a varied portfolio of clients, managing the accounts preparation process from start to finish while mentoring junior team members and building strong client relationships. What is the day-to-day of the role:

• Manage a portfolio of clients, overseeing accounts preparation and compliance work
\n
• Review work completed by junior members of the team and provide constructive feedback
\n
• Liaise directly with clients to build and maintain strong working relationships
\n
• Support the training and development of junior staff members
\n
• Identify opportunities to add value for clients and support business development
\n

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Previous experience working within a UK Practice environment
\n
• ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent) with relevant managerial experience
\n
• Strong technical accounting knowledge across a range of client sectors
\n
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills
\n
• Proven ability to manage and develop junior team members
\n
