The OpportunityAs a Residential Solicitor, you will manage a varied caseload of residential property matters while making a significant contribution to the department's performance and growth. Alongside fee-earning responsibilities, you will support and develop junior team members, helping to maintain high standards across the department.This role offers the chance to become actively involved in business development, client relationship management, and strategic initiatives that support the ongoing success of the firm.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a full caseload of residential conveyancing matters from instruction through to completion.
\n
• Handle residential sales, purchases, transfers of equity and remortgages.
\n
• Ensure all matters are progressed efficiently and in line with regulatory and quality standards.
\n
• Deliver outstanding levels of client care and maintain regular communication throughout transactions.
\n
• Achieve agreed financial, billing and time-recording targets.
\n
• Support credit control activities on your own caseload.
\n
• Supervise, coach and mentor support staff and junior colleagues.
\n
• Assist with training and development initiatives across the department.
\n
• Contribute to departmental and firm-wide business development activities.
\n
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, introducers and external stakeholders.
\n
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, client service and operational efficiency.
\n
• Ensure compliance with all SRA, Law Society and regulatory requirements.
\n

• Admission to the Solicitors Roll.

• Proven experience managing residential conveyancing transactions with minimal supervision.
\n
• Strong technical knowledge across residential sales, purchases and remortgages.
\n
• Excellent client relationship and communication skills.
\n
• Experience mentoring, supporting or supervising colleagues.
\n
• Strong organisational skills with effective diary and caseload management.
\n
• Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to business development.
\n
• The ability to work under pressure while maintaining high levels of accuracy and service.
\n
• A positive, resilient and professional approach.
\n
